Privacy policy
What Big Rig Pass keeps and why. Effective October 28, 2026.
In short
- You need no account. The app never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your progress stays on your phone.
- The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's ad software collects your phone's advertising ID and similar data. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland the app asks you first.
- If you report a mistake in a question, the app sends us that report. It sends us nothing else.
On your phone
Your answers, your readiness, your mistakes list, the set you are on, your exam results and your settings stay in the app's storage on your phone. We never see them. Reset progress in About and sources clears them, and deleting the app removes them.
Reports of a mistake
Every question has a Report button. When you send a report, the app sends our report service four things: the question's id, the reason you picked, your note if you wrote one, and the app's version number. If your phone is offline, the report waits on the phone until the app can send it.
We keep those four things, with the time the report arrived, to check the question against the manual, and delete them after a year at the latest. A report carries no account, no name and no device id, so please keep personal details out of the note. Cloudflare runs the report service for us and, like any web host, sees your IP address to deliver the report. We do not store it.
To have a report you sent deleted, email [email protected] with the question and roughly when you sent it, and we will delete it.
Ads and consent
Big Rig Pass is free, and it shows ads from Google AdMob: a full-screen ad between practice sets or after an exam, at most one every 3 minutes, and a video you can choose to watch to unlock the Hardest 25 bonus exam. An ad never shows while a question is on screen.
To show ads, the app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google's ad software. It collects the following and shares it with Google:
- your phone's advertising ID and app set ID;
- your IP address, which Google uses to estimate your general location;
- how you use the app, such as when it opens and which ads you see and tap;
- diagnostics, such as crash logs and how the ad software performs.
Google uses this for advertising, for analytics and to prevent fraud. Google explains how it uses information from apps that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent message before any ad. You can refuse personalized ads, and the app works the same. On an iPhone, after you agree there (or where that message does not apply), Apple's prompt asks whether the app may track you, and you can say no. Where the app shows Ad privacy choices in About and sources, you can change your answer there at any time.
On Android, open the phone's Settings, then Privacy (or Google), then Ads, to reset or delete your advertising ID. On an iPhone, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking. Google's own ad settings are at myadcenter.google.com.
Big Rig Pass sells nothing. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
If you write to [email protected], we get your email address and your message, and we use them only to answer you.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell or rent your data. The app sends Google the data listed under Ads and consent, for advertising, under Google's own privacy policy. Some US state laws call that sharing; where the law gives you a choice, the app offers it through Google's message and Ad privacy choices. Reports go to Cloudflare, which runs our report service, and stay in our Cloudflare account.
This website
bigrigpass.com sets no cookies and shows no ads. The practice questions run in your browser and send nothing to us. Cloudflare serves the site and, like any web host, sees your IP address to send you the pages. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not collect personal data or track you across sites. The fonts come from bigrigpass.com too, so your browser asks no other server for them.
Age
Big Rig Pass is made for adults studying for a commercial driver's license and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top.
